Hey everyone! In case you haven't noticed the frenzy that's been building about the most anticipated movie of March 2012, The Hunger Games movie came out today, and my dad and I watched it this morning. It's actually not as gory and dark as I was expecting (the director did try to keep from showing the bad parts while still getting the moral across, which I appreciated), but it was too rushed. The book was MUCH better. It was alright though (I'd give it a 7/10), just nothing very special, and my dad got motion sickness. However, it was pretty close to the book, and the point it was making was clearly there, so that was good.
If you want to check out The Hunger Games books, which are more graphic but have much better character development and a clearer story line, check out the Action or Sci-fi page and scroll down to Ages 13+. For a movie review from Focus On the Family which I thought was pretty accurate in summing up the movie, go to Plugged In.
